Hi Stingray families,

A few topics to pass along.

Age group practices

Most swimmers have been attending their respective age group practice slots, but some have been either swimming up in an older group or down in a younger group.

We ask that you stay with your respective group. Only exceptions to this are 1) some younger kids are allowed to swim in lane 1 only at the 8:00am 13 up practice, and 2) in another group with swim team committee and coach approval. 

Swim team age is determined by the how old the swimmer is on May 1. If they turn one year older during May or June, then they still stay with the lower age group. For example, if your child is 11 yrs old now, but was 10 on May 1, then they practice with the 9-10 group.

This will be important as we start to hold time trials and simulated races/heats during or practices.

Merchandise

We will be selling Stingray items at practices starting this week.

Prior year t shirts, swim caps, ball caps, stickers, tattoos, tank tops, etc. Some items are limited.

All of the profits go directly back into our program to pay expenses.

Shirts

2020 shirts have been ordered. We hope to have them in less than 2 weeks.

Time Trials

We plan to start having time trials and simulated competition heats this Friday.

Once again, it is important to come to your respective age group practice to participate.

We plan to have trials at the end of every week so that the kids can try to improve their times and have fun competing against each other!
