Hello Stingrays, 

It's that time again! I remember my first kickoff meeting so fondly - attending the spring after my oldest kid started as a half lapper. All the effort and energy that went in to running a swim season was a mystery to me - we just showed up and had a blast. Now that I'm volunteering, putting in the hours and the care, I feel like this time and effort is so much more rewarding because I can truly share in every team victory, every kid accomplishing more than they thought possible, every proud parent moment. I get to think, "It's all worth it. Every ounce of volunteering is worth what I put into it." All the parents who volunteer every year to make this swim team work deserve more praise and more attention than we can give. No doubt, it's mostly a job done behind the scenes. So, here we are, ready and willing to kick off another season. If you are a part of the advanced crew, with some energy and attention to devote to this giant endeavor starting before toes even touch the cold water, we need you to attend our kickoff meeting next Sunday, February 26th. I promise you that we laugh, we have fun, we keep it light and entertaining!
